It has been 40 years since Gordiano Fernández founded Forma 5 in the Sevillian town of Dos Hermanas. There have been several milestones in these four decades, always linked to the office sector, that have contributed to the growth and evolution of the company.
It began with internationalization, with exports to France being the first international market, followed by the opening of showrooms in other countries. The adaptation of the factory to a more efficient and environmentally friendly business model and the creation of the "Projects" department, which focused on personalized customer service and products, were other of the company's major milestones. And as a last step that pushes to new challenges, has been the recent launch of the new brand esPattio for solutions to Soft Seating spaces.
A Customer-oriented Business
"We strive every day to ensure that customer focus is our primary value. Offering an excellent service leads us to be flexible and adapt to the singularities of our customers. To achieve this, we are committed to quality and continuous improvement in everything we do. Without forgetting to put the Forma 5 team at the center, who make it all happen," they emphasize.
To ensure that the customer is always satisfied, it offers products that stand out for their balance between design, ergonomics and quality, forming an equilateral triangle that is backed by a competitive price.
During the last 20 years Forma 5 has relied on national and international designers, who have brought fresh air and a renewed vision of everything that happens in the world. In their words, "that creative freedom and that inspiration are perfectly in line with the philosophy of our company: value design, consider ergonomics, and think about durability and quality.”
New Releases and Best Sellers
"Orgatec", the most important event in the office solutions sector, is taking place this year after the previous edition was canceled due to the Covid pandemic. Forma 5 has gone the extra mile to present its eight new collections that will be on display at the show and will be launched between the end of the year and the first half of 2023.
In addition to these new collections and its new brand Pattio, the company has been known for years for its operational seating, including series such as "Dot.pro", designed by Jorge Herrera Kineo" and "3.60," created by the design studio ITO Design. ITO Design or "Sense" designed by the designer Josep Lluscà.
Customers have praised the most recent series of operational furniture: "Hexa" created by Ramos Bassols, a table with a unique geometry thanks to its aluminum legs; "Timber" a furniture program with wooden supports; or "Skala" designed by Tandem Company that has been well received in the market due to the height adjustment of the desk, which allows a better adaptation to the physiology and anatomy of the user at all times.
esPattio: The New Brand for Soft Seating Solutions.
The "esPattio" brand was launched on the market in November 2021, and "since then, the trust that customers are placing in this new project is being resounding, and we can only thank and promise that we will continue to push vigorously in this direction," says Gonzalo Navarro, Director of Marketing and Communication of the company.
"Light," "Color" and "Warmth" are the three words that best describe the philosophy of "esPattio." Using this approach, the company proposes to occupy work spaces to create a more friendly, open, and comfortable working environment. "Our philosophy and style lies in the south, in Andalusia, where we are proudly from and feel, but with a tremendously universal character which fits in all corners of the world because, in the end, we all feel connected to our origins in some way, as Pattio feels connected to its own,” the company explains.
For the design of "esPattio" products, the company is involving well-known designers who are helping to create a rich and varied portfolio: Patrick Norguet, Simon Pengelly, Josep Lluscà, Jorge Herrera Studio, Yonoh Studio, Pearson&Lloyd and Ramos&Bassols are some of the current collaborators. As the company points out: "The good thing about all of them is that they have understood and shared the philosophy of this new brand, as well as that of Forma 5, and they make us achieve the goals we set ourselves in a joint and satisfactory manner.”
